If you teach in an eligible area in the Lone Star state, you may qualify for student loan repayment assistance.
To qualify for this award, you must teach in Texas in a designated subject shortage area and low-income school. Designated shortage fields include English as a second language, special education, math, science, career and technical education, and computer science.
Successful applicants received up to $2,500 in 2016. The award amount is adjusted annually based on funding.
