If you’re a primary care provider in Rhode Island, you could be eligible for a big reward.
To qualify for the Rhode Island Educational Loan Repayment Program for Primary Care Providers, you must be a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant. You also must have been newly recruited to work in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics. Finally, you must provide 32 hours per week of direct patient care.
Physicians can receive awards for up to $20,000 per year for four years. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants may get up to $10,000 per year for four years. You won’t get an award that exceeds half of your educational debt.
