The Rhode Island Health Professionals Loan Repayment Program is open to all manner of healthcare professionals, including doctors, dentists, dental hygienists, nurse practitioners, nurse-midwives, counselors, registered nurses, and pharmacists.
You must work at an eligible site and provide services in a Health Provider Shortage Area (HPSA). You must also perform either full-time practice, defined as 40 hours per week, or half-time practice, defined as 20 hour per week, for at least 45 weeks per year.
Awards vary depending on your profession and available funding.
