If you’ve worked in public service or a non-profit organization, then you could qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
To qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness, you must have worked full-time at a government or nonprofit organization and made 120 loan payments under a qualifying repayment plan.
If you are eligible, you may have up to 100 percent of the remaining balance on your loans forgiven after 120 eligible payments.
• Direct Stafford loans
• Direct Consolidation loans
• Perkins and Parent PLUS loans are only eligible if you consolidate them into a Direct Consolidation loan and repay them under the standard or income-contingent repayment plan.
