If you’re a soldier with federal loans, then you may get forgiveness from the National Guard Loan Repayment program.
To qualify for this program, you must enlist for a minimum of six years in a specific grade. Non-prior service soldiers must enlist in an MTOE or medical TDA unit only and score a minimum at least 50 on the Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT). Prior service soldiers can’t have more than 16 years of service in the National Guard. To find the full list of eligibility requirements, check out the National Guard website.
If you qualify for this program, you could receive up to $50,000 to pay off your federal student loans.
